Sausalito, California, boasts a distinct Mediterranean microclimate, characterized by mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers, often significantly warmer and sunnier than San Francisco across the bay, though still subject to coastal fog. We completed this lawn-to-garden transformation for our wonderful client in 2022. The rich tapestry of succulents, Mediterranean perennials, and lush tropical foliage, paired with crushed gold gravel mulch and low-voltage landscape lighting, has become a great space for entertaining.
